Preparing for Registration
This weekend was spent making the final preparations for registration. There are still a few things left to complete on the car but the major things are ready to get a RWC and rego.
Fitted the Grant steering wheel. There was a bit of mucking around to get the horn contact to touch the copper ring. All sorted now and works perfectly.
Test-fitted the Konig Rewinds w/RA1s today. No rubbing (phew!) and they look GREAT! With a bit of luck it will be on the road this week!!

More Interior and other shiny bits
This weekend we concentrated on the interior parts. Installed the vinyl panels around the wheel arches and prepared and installed the plastic finishing panels with holes for the 4" speakers. I'll be installing some 6" speakers in the doors and some 6x9" 3-way speakers in the boot.
We installed the side carpet panels and used the black metal strips (from Victoria British) to hold them down. Sat the other carpet pieces in to see how everthing fits. We won't need anything to be created to cover the transmission tunnel as the carpet we have already covers that part.
Bought a manual switch to run in parallel with the fuel pump relay. This will prime the fuel pump prior to starting. Will wire that in next time.
Installed the driver's side mirror. Proved to be VERY VERY difficult but it looks really good now - so it was worth it. We had to remove the entire glass from the drivers side.
Installed the window washer tubes and tested (see pic below)
